  • Three-Roll Calendering Assembly: High-precision calendering rolls with internal water/oil cooling channels regulate the sheet's surface finish. A mirror-like finish is crucial to ensure distortion-free optics in bulletproof glass applications.

Additionally, inline annealing chambers are used to release internal stresses caused by fast thermal cooling. Without stress-release processing, sheets are prone to cracking during subsequent cutting or framing processes.

PMMA/PC co-extruded sheets combine the high impact strength of Polycarbonate with the scratch and UV resistance of Polymethyl Methacrylate. They are significantly lighter than glass and do not shatter upon high-velocity impact, making them ideal for security shielding, bank teller partitions, and public transport glazing.

Our sheet extrusion lines are engineered to produce thicknesses ranging from 2 mm up to 20 mm. Advanced calendar control allows for micro-adjustments, ensuring consistency within +/- 0.02 mm across the entire width of the sheet.

An online thickness gauge (using beta or X-ray sensors) continuously scans the extruded sheet. If a deviation is detected, the control system adjusts the heating elements on the automated T-Die, modifying the local melt flow to correct the thickness in real-time.

Co-extruding a thin PMMA layer containing UV stabilizers onto one or both sides of the PC core protects the sheet from UV degradation. This configuration prevents yellowing and maintains optical clarity under outdoor conditions.
