What are the primary differences between APET, CPET, and PETG sheet production lines?
APET (Amorphous PET) sheet processing requires rapid quenching at the three-roll calender to prevent crystallizing, maintaining optical transparency. CPET (Crystalline PET) lines incorporate controlled thermal treatment during the downstream process to induce crystallization, increasing thermal resistance for oven-safe trays. PETG uses modified glycol polymers, presenting a wider processing window and lower melting point, which removes crystallization concerns entirely and yields excellent deep-draw thermoforming characteristics.
How does Gwell ensure high-efficiency degassing when processing 100% recycled rPET bottle flakes?
