PMMA is highly hygroscopic. Our system incorporates high-performance molecular sieve desiccant dryers that reduce resin moisture to < 0.02%. The single-screw extruder operates at custom compression ratios (L/D 33:1 or 36:1) with venting zones to release residual volatiles, preventing silver streaks on the final sheet.
A double-plate hydraulic screen changer operates online without pressure shocks. Supported by a high-precision melt pump, the polymer flow remains stable within ±0.5 bar. The coat-hanger extrusion die is machined from high-performance alloy steel, hard chrome-plated, with a flow channel surface roughness of Ra ≤ 0.015 μm.
